This was the kind of shoot, as a photographer, I love. Nice weather, fall colors, and a subject who has a smile that lights up the viewfinder. Crystal (my fiance) and I had a lot of fun photographing Leslie-Ann. We walked all over Roosevelt Park getting sun and a workout. Unfortunatly Leslie-Ann’s mom was stung while we were there. I really like how the photos turned out.

I went to my cousin’s wedding last week (congratulations Brittany and Joseph!) and shot a few photos of my youngest cousins, Rachel and Amelia. Kids are so much fun to shoot. Although these photos almost didn’t happen. Rachel (the younger one) tripped on the sidewalk and bonked her head! Ouch! It took a little coaxing to get her to smile (and a little promise of chocolate!).

Chad and Jenny had a great wedding at the International Peace Gardens (I guess that means I’m an “International Photographer” now
). Despite the heat and wind, everything went great. I felt bad for the groomsmen (and groomsmaid? Jill), having to wear all black.

My first official blog. Wow. I feel very 21st century now. This is Slightly In Focus Photography. A new business started by John Glibota and Aaron Michels (me). We have a passion for making photographs and want that passion to show in our work. Let us know if what you like and we’ll try our hardest to make that happen.
I’d like to thank in a big way, Matt and Jamie from Otis and James. Without their help there’d be no blog for one
. Thanks for the help.
